Meet Shaquahia , Founder and Psychotherapist at Comfort Counseling, LLC.

Shaquahia, a proud Virginia native, is the founder and lead psychotherapist of Comfort Counseling, LLC. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice.

Her diverse background includes work in group homes, community mental health agencies, hospitals, and medical clinics. Shaquahia has supported a wide range of populations, and has a special focus on women’s health and trauma recovery.

Shaquahia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia State University and a Master of Social Work from Walden University. She is deeply passionate about helping clients become the best versions of themselves.

Shaquahia has advanced trainings in perinatal mood disorders, EMDR and clinical supervision.

Outside of her professional life, Shaquahia enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
